that the energy companies have raping every British household in the country for decades not passing on declines in the wholesale price of energy to the customers. You could not imagine that that you could get so low to racketeer to that extent of many that have to choose between food on the table or heat for their home. You just could not make it up! Say £100/year time 20 years times 20 million households £40bn plus maybe more. Relieved is not our bank cos we will probably get the blame and have to cough up some more

Obummers tax hikes. Against $18 trillion national debt & $94 trillion unfunded liabilities. "Every little helps" lol

Bought you some Escargot but had a problem with the Douane French customs They put the dogs in and the buggers sniffed out the snails and scoffed the lot. I complained with real passion, but to no avail. I'll try again - no worries.

How's about this for a quote then:

"....the fall is certainly not due to selling volume...". Does this sound familiar Ed? And it was this I latched onto. I was suggesting that this "certainty" of yours was in fact - what was going on @ MS? The selling of volumes!!!

Other new posters - stop asking silly Q's? Read recent and previous posts. The reason for a subdued stock (today) up until late pm is that MS were selling their daily quota of 25 million shares to meet their target in June. However, after about 3.30, 4pm ish, something else has now come along and knocked ALL the banks sideways. I've yet to determine what caused that.

Whenever you see the share price falling, there is a shadow of Chancellor George Osborne behind it.

Chancellor George Osborne confirmed that he would give the Bank of England formal powers to limit mortgage lending and tackle excess leverage in the banking system.

Lets be honest here, banks shaft themselves through greed. They operate on a fractional reserve basis so are technical insolvent. When your hand over your hard earned cash, it's legally the banks and not yours. (scarey thought) Knowing the risks involved in such a model no one is forced into becoming a shareholder. History shows the recurrence of failed banks, when they went bust that was it you lost your dosh. Today they get bailed TBTF banks are even bigger than before. Morel hazzard they call it. I remember the gold sale and the b0ll0cking that went with it. Scroll 2:10 in. and the ar$ehole still smiles.
