Huge over reaction to an rns which appears to have misinterpreted by many. Now is a golden opportunity in my opinion. The level of buying will tell you something.

We are certainly in at least two great stocks. Although environmental and infrastructure issues were something of a setback, I failed to understand why AMER attracted so little attention. I counted on fingers the immense Platanillo potential available from the 400 m spacing intervals through to well #9 tonight. He has been invested here in volume for some time. Thereafter, we considered the Fenix side-issue and Paraguayan 3D. The conclusion is to categorise AMER on the same footing as MAGP . . . the kraken awakes. Let's see if we can find another monster.

Great to have you aboard.
Great day with 2 RNS's with Platanillo 4 drill completed, Platanillo 5 now being drilled and the Company has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with PetroGranada, a private oil and gas exploration and production company focused on Colombia and Latin America. PetroGranada's British Management team has over 20 years of E&P experience in Colombia and is backed by the private equity arm of a major banking group. The MOU allows an exclusive period of two months for PetroGranada to complete technical and other Due Diligence into the Fenix contract prior to entering into definitive agreements covering an earned interest in the Fenix contract.

The 2nd RNS this morning was:

26 July 2012

Amerisur Resources Plc ("Amerisur" or the "Company")

Fenix Update

Amerisur Resources Plc, the oil and gas producer and explorer focused on South America, is pleased to announce an update on the Fenix contract.

The Company has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with PetroGranada, a private oil and gas exploration and production company focused on Colombia and Latin America.

The Definitive Agreements, if entered into post the Due Diligence period, will require PetroGranada to fund certain operations in the Fenix block, including 2D seismic acquisition and the drilling of various types of high technology wells to confirm and exploit the block potential.

ENDS

Competent person: Technical information in this announcement has been reviewed by John Wardle Ph.D., the Company's Chief Executive. John Wardle has 27 years' experience in the industry, having worked for BP, Britoil, Emerald Energy and Pebercan, and is a trained drilling engineer.

Faroe Petroleum (FPM LN, 136.5p, ▼ 1.80%) - Increased Lending Facility Banked: The announcement of an increased bank lending facility should enhance investor confidence as it further strengthens the Company's balance sheet, which should see the Company close 2012 in a better position than it started. News that the Company's Cooper well encountered hydrocarbons is also welcome, and although further work needs to be carried out, the preliminary results are encouraging and success at establishing production flow with this well would be another positive trigger for the stock.
