Funniest expression I ever heard. Talk short, it's got a name. Talk long, 'hi buddy'. Hahaha. Contrary to popular retail belief suff, it can also go south after you buy. I would reckon, more than myself here, know that all too well. I bought barcs before. Got a right sting from it, long time ago. If your short when it's falling suff, the astute call it profit. Holding losses is for raMpers
Barclays gets $750 million profit boost from Lehman lawsuit settlement: Barclays’ next set of results will feature a $750 million boost to pretax profits, following the settlement of its long-running lawsuit against the trustee of Lehman Brothers, the failed U.S. investment bank.
hi suff, totally agree with you, think itsallintheheads deramping will have little effect here, where made of stronger stuff, major fines, general election, and greece will remain in the euro, all headwinds receding, osbourne to announce at mansion house, banks have had a good hiding, and has now woken up to,if uk to be global finiancial hub, letting players like hsbcto leave, really is an own goal, uk banks in best shape for years,am personally happy to be a barc shareholder,GLA.
it willl be meaningless, as Ireland, Portugal etc were, in the future. But even so, markets can drop a fair bit on it, in the interim. And dont forget, drop fast, climb slow. Must say though, not really seeing the appeal of banks for investors. Right now anyway. Better sectors and companies to be had. Always nice to catch them when the really big shakeout occurs, but has that happened in banking yet?
I think one of the problems here that wil hold e share price down is the uncertainty of Greece And feel I shall sit on the side lines in cash until the deadline regarding their repayments which it seems is the end of this month The nearer they seem to get to the deadline the more uncertainty they will create in the market place and most likely force share prices further down not just Barclays but the the whole market If they do miss the final payment then we will prop key is very large percentage drops in share price essepically banking stocks Then that's going to be one hell of a buying in opportunity in my opinion DYOR. Good luck all
