I think people have been spooked by the recent drop (to be fair it has had me twitching too) it is human nature to worry about it but I have stuck by it due to the fact that nothing has changed. if there is gas and oil in the ground then we are all going to be very happy. at 3.3p what is the point of selling. downside risk 50 - 60% upside is massive 5, 10 times your cash (obviously various people have different views on the upside) I think most people would say at the lower end 5 times return. I already have a relatively large holding in here so I am not topping up any further (don't want to risk what I can not afford to loose) however if I was sitting on the side lines with a spare 5 - 10K I would give it a go. Life changing money could be just around the corner. As Warren Buffett says “Be Fearful When Others Are Greedy and Greedy When Others Are Fearful”
Ladies and Gentlemen, I'd like to offer you a quote from my old rugby coach. "Step up, or step out". Those of you in the same boat as me who are fed up of seeing this talked down, the stage is yours. Facts and figures people...
I get a very negative vibe from everyone here also. I keep questioning why for christ sake! The fundamentals have not changed. The only negative I can see is that a chinese vessel is harrasing ours, though this should not stop the drill? 80% cos of gas, which if discovered will increase the chances of oil. Come on guys, time to be positive!
Morning all, what's up with the lack of enthusiasm here? We're days away from an event some of us have waited months or even years for. (The former applies to me) Just because we don't have Kermit leading the brigade posting as often as I draw breath shouldn't mean we can't stay positive. I'm in for as much as I can afford and without rose tinting it, I'm down perhaps more than I would care to be. Am I worried? No. (But ask me again in a week)
To all the regular posters, you've given me an insight into an industry I knew nothing about. Just wanted to say thanks for that! Keep your chins up and enjoy the ride.
