Im very disappointed not only because of them pulling also because the SP has dropped and become weak as traders leave, yesterday we saw a few big sells which explains why now. Sad would of been nice a boost of $80m!
Mikemike and Skodaman you are being logical but there is no logic down this rabbit hole.
I wonder whether this is but a skirmish and Polyus is still persuadable to make an offer? After all they are the most credible operator likely to get the mine up and running - and paying Kyrgs taxes quickly.
If this auction is a 'rigged game' who do the Kyrgs want as their winner?
Have the Kyrgs just used the auction to flush out a minimum value from "others' and now they will negotiate with Polyus who have claims of title to Jerooy as noted by d200 ?
I don't believe for one moment that Polyus walked away because they balked at a potential $80m Oxs payment. That is small change in the light of the mine life and potential oz to be mined. No, if Polyus have declined to make a bid I suspect it was because they failed to get cast iron guarantees of laissez faire and non-interference.
we must remember why we are all here, jerooy was a sideline act , a great way of passing the time until the result of the ox/Uzbek decision , would have been nice to see polyus go into the final draw but "the lady has no balls" , forward and onward until "the oxus balls chime out" gla.
