My bet on a blue day tomorrow with Barclays up nicely. With nearly no inflation, shares are a good place to invest still and you need to look no further than our Blue Eagle. Could yield close to 3% on divis this year at this level if we get 7.75p total as well as some nice appreciation. My target 20% total from here to December (appreciation and dividends ), talking myself into buying more!.GLA
In my opinion Greece are pushing to the end for the best deal but in the end they have to make a deal of some kind the alternative I consider to alarming even for Greece they would have hyper inflation a currencie of no value on the world market and no one willing to offer credit !! Greece would be in the proverbial then. I am sure the brinkmanship will go to the end but I doubt the Germans will blink . Best of Luck To All Investors Keep Smilling
common fleccy comments like that are a bit unfair...i mean MPs false claims, tesco accounting ,,dark pool, insider dealing,PPI etc the list goes on all in uk. China and India will as mentioned earlier will take over usa in wealth league not too bad for a country that got is independence less than 70 years ago.
Not a bad day in the end.We won't go up in a straight line but I'm staying put for at least £2.70 + probably more depending on the world economic events.Wouldnt mind that divi too.All the best to you, would love to see you and Alan G in profit.
Fleccy, couldn't agree more. The place reeks of corruption, incompetence, sloppiness and a very business unfriendly environment. It ranks somewhere like 144 in the list of business friendly places. Modi will try to change things, but one man out of 1400 million (and counting) isn't a game changer. India is the single major reason I haven't invested in Vedanta so far.
Update in 2 weeks ...nothing to do with Barclays shares here ,But in general most stocks rise approaching the update if the market thinks they are ok and above estimates we could jump 5% to 15 % in one day …
I sense a little weakening now (setting aside general market factors). Just a gut thing really but worry that we may have seen the best for a while (talking short term). Nice to be wrong of course - and often am!
