I think we are on the cusp. If you have listened to Jays interview in Feb it stated GSA before first sales in the 2nd qtr of 2015 - I personally think this will be in place by the end of this month

According to RNS 25,000 shares become 1 new share which is then converted into 100 new ordinary shares and 1 new deferred share

* correction. Actually it would become 1 share worth a £1.

I worked example on a 10 to 1 consolidation.

I wasn't following closely but I think they were saying the sp dropped from the new level at one point. Due to the sp rising to reflect the consolidation it disguises whats happening to the sp in terms of non consolidation movements. Also some holders may mistakenly sell thinking they have just won the lottery, only to find they haven't.

It doesn't happen loads. I have seen about 5 or 6. Sure there have been a lot more that I haven't noticed.

Sharehead, thanks, if the holders value is the same after consolidation why are they all saying their investment in the Co has crashed ? Also does this happen often ?

Joecread, when I saw this one this morning I thought I had missed out on a winner, just show's how little I know!!

They did a 100 to 1 consolidation.

The amount of shares in circulation gets divided by 100, the rest taken out of circulation.

Therefore the shares you hold also get divided by 100. So if you had say 100 shares worth 1p each then it would become 10 shares worth 10p each.

The overall value of your holding being £1 in both instances.

What it then allows the company to do is issue placings to raise money and dilute holders from a higher level.

They don't usually work in favour of pi's.
