If only. The EU is such a massive and impenetrable bureaucracy, whose accounts for the past 20 years remain unaudited, that it is simply impossible to determine what the "facts" are, let alone present them to the electorate. I really hope we leave and that prompts others to do the same. The whole Brussels gravy train needs to be run off the tracks. The EU was superseded years ago by the World Trade Organisation, and as far as security is concerned, NATO would operate with or without the EU.
Yes, we deserve the facts over such a huge issue as this, and no spin! Here’s one fact. The people of Europe are ruled by those who are appointed and not elected by those same ‘people’, and that, is dangerous by definition. Atb
Both sides will spin and play on hopes & fears.... our challenge is figuring out which side is spinning less :p
Whatever happens, I hope the result is decisive and not 48/52 or something horrible like that. It will be diVISive enough and whichever side "wins," will need to figure out hope to keep the other side "happy."
.....and I know fine well that that won't be planned for.
I agree with you (spin etc) David Cameron’s utter contempt for democracy, was all too evident yesterday. I’m no big fan of Boris Johnson but, he is advocating a view of Britain/EU that is shared by perhaps half of the adult population – regardless! I’m not sure of his metal but, I have a feeling we are about to find out! As for the BBC, it should be dismantled and rebuilt. We all know that they are pro EU, but this ‘aid’ (not coverage) is a disgrace and most unprofessional with the exception of Emily Maitlis, and as for that Fiona Bruce, Samantha Cameron needs to check under her bed. I apologise for the off topic, the temptation was too great. Best to all.
Aye,you had two posts, cant think why as all you were doing was expressing your opinion ? Its not mine and I disagree with any suggestion that Brexit is something to fear but ,in case you believe I would have it removed, it certainly wasn't me making a complaint. The business bosses letter today is just more of the downing street spin machine going into action.
