Agreed TIPTOP. I and I hope you are right; unfortunately the lack of recent newslow might suggest to many p.i's that things have stalled. I understand that a main board company cannot release news until it is definite but issues like the lack of a CPR in recent months does justify asking a few questions.... and creates nervousness.
I am with you I am happy to hang in for the ride - I want to maximise my investment here (I have been waiting long enough!) Bujt I can understand why many would want to take a short term profit - "a bird in the hand" and all that.
Farmouts do take a while to process. It appears to us that nothing is happening but the wheels are turning at pace behind the scenes. Once the money men come on board our projects will progress much quicker.
just my thoughts but let's hope for some more detail re targets in the results.
A takeover would need the approval of our BOD. This would only happen if Jay felt we had come to a dead end. That is certainly not the case, if anything it's quite the opposite. Exciting times are just around the corner. Our Farm out partners for Ruvuma and Nyuni will be a highlight along with production from Kiliwani
Of course, as a long term investor, I too get frustrated at the seeming lack of news and focus on PR and I question what on earth we pay YJ for. However let's remeber guys that untimately any PR efforts, news and commentary are all likely only to create momentary hot air and share price movement that suceeds only in allowing "traders" to take short term advantage of the price movement.
Ultimately the price will rise and stay there only when the company's efforts have made a significant impact on our Balance Sheet, P&L and future prospects. This is what any potential bidder will be interested in. For that reason I hope that we DO NOT get bought out in the short term becasue if we do it will be the bidder that benefits from the long term growth and earnings potential of our hard won assets NOT US!!!!
I would have thought the sp would be ticking up a little with all the positive Tanzania and gas press around lately. It would be good if the sp was back to at least 2p+ before any decent news comes out. Is it possible for any potential bidders for aex to see the CPR before it is made public? Something is holding it up!!
Other Companies might have issued a RNS with this news to keep investors in the loop. Perhaps Aminex will post a link to proceedings. Won't hold my breath on that one. Hello, where are you, YJ's. Will just need tomwait and see what tomorrow brings. Need to assume there will be no market sensitve information in Phil's presentation.
from the 'Industry Highlights' section of the previous link from gaslady
Statoil today announced that the Mdalasini-1 exploration well has resulted in a new natural gas discovery offshore Tanzania. The discovery of an additional 1.0-1.8 trillion cubic feet (tcf*) of natural gas in place in the Mdalasini-1 well, brings the total of in-place volumes up to approximately 22 tcf in Block 2.
