Come on back to the board , bud, ---do not ever be put off or intimidated by anyone posted here !!--
Unlike others who clearly do not understand the art of trading ( long & short) this stock has had and continues to have good tradeable ( long &short) channels and trends !!-- The wise money went short of this stock at around the 250p highs , long on the oversold at around 220p and short again on the recent breakdown of that 220 p support ----
Much more money to be made than just blindly buying and holding like those who simply cannot grasp the basic techniques of trading ---- buy the underlying stock at the low levels like they do , but trade it as it rises and falls . Best of both words !!---- and far more profitable ----- Their problem is being rooted in the "dark ages" of basic buying, holding and selling , buying, holding and selling, buying ,holding and selling (lol) ----- Everyone can lose money in this business , whether you S/B or not ---- Those of us that understand trading and have been doing it successfully for a number of years ---lose less than most and make more than most ----
For that , i've finally got thru' that thick skin of the sarcastic, egotistical "lady " from north of the border ----took some time but finally got there (lolly lol) --- But i make you a promise , sarcastic lady ,-------come down off your high horse and leave other posters alone or i will continue to stick up for them ---
For your information , i'm making a mint out of trading the Indicies --so no need to bother much with individual stocks atm ---- But do feel free to continue to "stalk " my posts anytime your little heart desires ---- What a twit-ta -woo you are --lady from north of the border ( lol)----
On this bb. Those who want to imply that they know something are free to email away to each other. You've got mail is the Aims parlance to create an aura of mystique that has no foundation. Well lol why bother using a public bb.
Good morning Hottentot. Yes I do understand shorting - a lot better than you think. I understand that there are two other supermarkets being shorted by the professionals very heavily indeed and that is about the only thing fuelling my interest in this sector of retail at the moment. I also know all I need to know about spreadbetting thanks very much. If you do a little research into that then you will find that most investors who practice that art lose out and give up after a very short period of time. You would need to check with Opium but I think by black arts he might be referring to your charting abilities. Most chartists on here tell me that they are not predicting prices just giving a range of possible outcomes which might or might not happen and acknowledge that there can be a high margin for error. They tend to opt for much more volatile shares than this one which you appear to have given up in recent times though judging by your absence from a few bbs you used to frequent.
Like most housewives in the country, I was quick to spot the threat that the present discounters posed to the supermarkets and sold my Tesco shares and have only traded them once since then since Ashley saw fit to do so. He I would argue is worthy of following when it comes to retailing. Frequency of trading may not matter. One big trade might be as profitable as 100s little trades.
When not logged in to lse, you see all posts. I see you and enjoy your malapropisms - the best since Hilda Baker - but I don't need to hear about how anybody has fared after the event and would rather here something useful about companies - and no by that I don't mean about somebody's weekly trip to Sainsburys or anywhere like that. I think if we are truly making money there might be better ways to spend out Saturdays as Genesis once sang. Now to coin one of your oft used sentences to others: please do not post directly to me again on these bbs. I will not be engaging in any way with you.
Group planning to sue Tesco bring in top commercial lawyer Philip Marshall: A highly respected commercial lawyer has been drafted in by a group set up to sue Tesco over last year’s accounting scandal in what could turn into a multi-billion pound lawsuit
