If the shelf life can't be extended then others will launch it under the blue diamond brand and the roll out will continue with or without Trojan. The roll out in 600 drug stores in Netherlands proves shelf life is not a major issue and any news on shelf life is good news as either way it removes the delay in rolling out all over Europe
If the trials are successful, then the prospects for this share are excellent. However, experience tells me that when Mr Barder actually deems to communicate with us, it is more smoke and mirrors and 'jam tomorrow. I can't help but wonder if he is not just preparing the way for bad news on the condom front.
I genuinely hope that I am wrong as I have a lot of money invested here.
The planned launches that the new brand manager has been hired for "selected commercial partners, successfully launch Futura's unique new condom product in Spain, Italy, CEE and other selected territories"
These territories can now launch and have a template to piggy back on the Netherlands successful roll out.
The pressure is now building on C&D to launch sooner rather then later as with or without them it's proven to sell and is rolling out in Europe.
On Sales there was a question during the webcast in March about sales - so sales they admitted were only in 2.5 months 40kEuro - on-line only. They have 17% of in-line sales already in NL (in March 2017) and 10% in BE. It will be going into retail after the update the wholesalers on shelf life info - so 2H 2015. Quick fag packer means that if they can also create 17% of all retail sales - which I agree is a tall order - then annual sales could be in the order of 2.4mEuro just for NL and BE.
