If memory serves me right that wasn't a small O&G company! Wasn't it a vehicle floated with the sole intention of taking over Marks & Sparks? It didn't happen and it went back to being a penny share stock before a small business was reversed into it
Forget Knutsford, sharetip, it was a one off!! MATRA, when it returns from suspension, will be valued by the Market on the same basis as it's peer group, eg NTOG, CAZA and MAGP. The assets that MATRA intends buying in the USA are 3 very small fields (phase1, 2 &3). It's not going to sky rocket on it's return from suspension. Keep your feet on the ground.
Yes I do---the sp has actually gone up quite a percentage--if you look at the graphs. There appears to have been some profit taking but it is still holding around the 2p mark--the recent share offer was 1.125p The farm in is expected in Dec when I guess the sp will go up a little and again when the well is spudded. The telling time will be when/or if they get a strike of oil. The good pointers here are that Repsol is involved and the seismics show a remarkable similarity to those where a big find was made in Brazil. So the short of it is that I do not expect any big rise or fall in the sp in the short term. If you have a little moeny left over might be worth a punt at these prices. BUT as ever DYOR and the very very best of luck, mate.
I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that while in Vegas I watched a programme on this new procedure to extract oil from previously used wells in the US and how big it actually is. It put my mind at rest and hence why I got the thoughts of bungy hunting once we become un suspended. Ok I might still be getting carried away with how big we are going to open at, but deep down I feel good about Matra and what they want to make Matra into. If only I could switch off for 5 years. Exciting times without a doubt, roll on roll on!
