way back, a lot more than I paid glad to say but over last 5 years I bet the shorters have made a fortune, loads have plummeted but seldom do they `multi bag` on aim anymore. (almost forgot what that word means!- anyone?)
anything to do with rise, I expect it is but at 8p this is / was a bargain buy imo. pity I didn't wait til this buy in price to take advantage but patience will be rewarded.... 2016 it is then? or sooner?
As pointed out by Jimmy on the link you posted ... "Research and consulting firm GlobalData said exploration success in the area was at around 65 percent in the West African Transform Magin. According to its count, there are seven upcoming wells in Senegal and Mauritania."
Following from yesterday’s Kosmos announcement the shares did eventually start to make some ground after their very exciting discovery in Mauritania rising 10% on the day in the end, not bad on a $3.7bn market cap company… It is worth taking another look at Chariot Oil & Gas who also have significant acreage in the country and in their case it may be more oily….
that's 10 times our Market Cap, it is indeed a GIANT Natural Gas discovery!! I understand they've already drilled threw the primary targets where they've expected the 2 bn bbl of oil but instead have discovered Natural Gas in much bigger than expected reservoirs:
"Andrew G. Inglis, chairman and chief executive officer, said: “VOLUMETRICALLY, the Tortue-1 well has FAR EXCEEDED our pre-drill expectations and has discovered a large scale gas resource. Our seismic imaging indicates the areal extent of Tortue West could cover approximately 90 square kilometres that will be better defined with appraisal drilling."
Chevron farmed into Kosmos' Blocks shortly before spud in of the Tortue prospect, Chariot's Mauritania prospects are Drill Ready, Rig Rates are low, just Need one more Deal!
