Joe, I guess we would say a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. Why wait for any contingency payments that may or may not be owed when we could possibly settle for less now - with any new owners of Salamander.
Is there a reasonable chance that we won't get anything then if Salamander are taken over then? I would hope that something was built into the agreement to cover all eventualities. Like you, I hope we could get a quick pay off. A few. $m in the hand wouldn't go a miss! I will be watching Salamander with interest. I have contacted Salamander and asked how Sound would stand if they were taken over. I don't expect I will get an answer though! Thanks for the info though.
Joe, also, it is funny Salamander are in the news. I have been watching their share movements- & so, as it happens has JP. He says they have been watching for some time & " There may be an angle for us depending on the structure of the ultimate offer, if indeed one is made".
Crude........... So it looks like we are going to have to keep watching that space seemingly. Maybe an offer could be made to buy our contingency. Interesting.
Myself and Trisse both saw it somewhere on twitter I think! Nervesa permit this month would be great. I think we are good to go as soon as it arrives, so would be good to be drilling before Xmas. I expect from this answer that Badile will be early New Year. I also suspect that if things are going well that a farm in deal will be triggered when Badile permit is received. New look website around mid November according to a tweet. I suspect this will launch once permit is received and will contain a good feature on the second Nervesa drill. Unless Jp has got a surprise up his sleeve!
I emailed JP just now regarding talk of a new broker note - this is his reply to that and a question about permits:
Hi Kirk. I am not particularly expecting any Peel Hunt note. As a company we have certainly not suggested one is imminent !We continue to expect the Nervesa permit this month and the Badile permit around the end of the year – things are progressing well.
Crude.........so all sounds good. November should see that Nervesa drill permit.......hopefully. But no new broker note......come to think of it, why did we think one was imminent - I can't remember.
