Looking at the drill positions if drill holes 1,2,3, and 5 It certainly looks like the drill holes/directions to date have tested from 12 o'clock round to 6 o'clock and the company now state they believe to be vectoring in on the "potential core zone" holes 6 and 7 according to the same link are to be drilled from the opposite side of the potential core zone from what appears to be roughly 8 and 11 o'clock positions. I'm guessing at least one but quite likely both holes will be drilled towards the centre of what the geologists believe are be the core zone, with the previous holes drilled and info gained from them in mind I believe we are in a good position to make an informed attempt at hitting the core zone.
Latest hole 6 and 7 update (pre-assays) "In the meantime, the minimum 3-hole programme is continuing at our Condor De Oro project, also in Peru, where previous wide-spaced drilling has discovered mineralisation related to a large multi-phased porphyry system I can report that Holes 6 and 7 were successfully completed to planned depths of 300m and 303m respectively. Sample preparation is in progress for analysis and results will be reported in due course. This initial drilling is aimed at understanding the geological setting, testing the mineralized system and evaluating the overall project potential." ................
Total change of strategy because of the mistake when talking about hole 5 before the assay results? Previous updates had much more meat on the bones. (See below)
Hole5 update (pre-assays) - Chief Executive Officer, Glen Parsons commented, "These latest drill results for Condor de Oro are again extremely positive and further confirm the multiple phases of copper-gold-molybdenum mineralisation in this large system. The first high grade gold intersection from Hole 4 is certainly the most encouraging to date, in terms of grade, and may well open up a new target area on the SW intrusive complex margin. In addition, the results from our mapping and the first four holes have assisted us in a greater understanding of this mineralised system and now we seem to be homing in on visible copper mineralisation hosted by intensely altered diorite in Hole 5. This is ultimately what we have been aiming for in this initial scout drilling programme and appears very encouraging. We await the results from what may be a "core zone" of the complex with anticipation and look forward to updating the market in due course."
The SP has yet to recover any ground from the over-hype of hole 5. Is this the reason they have added no geological detail into the hole 6 and 7 update or is it simply because there is little to report? Condor is definitely a spin of the wheel at the moment. Also, Hole 8 didn't get a mention in the last update ... It will be very interesting to know if this is in close proximity to holes 6 and 7 or whether they have identified a seperate area that they now wish to pursue.
P.s. They should already be in receipt off hole 6 assays so watch for significant price action before news to take your lead IMO.
A pretty good point in my opinion , what people seem to forget is that 3 months ago when we had been getting dud rns's , people were saying "stay invested here Soledad and condor will make this a huge success " , so there were 2 huge throws of the dice back then which made the investment a decent punt
, now Soledad has not become what it was supposed to and we are now left with a final throw of the dice being condor , after many rbs this year all being disappointing are you expecting condor to finally be the one ? You will need to be very lucky my friend
The current price reflects the risk , once the condor news is here it is all or nothing , personally I believe we are heading for average news at best and as such my prediction is 2.3 taking Into accoubt Soledad is not really a "company maker" so far
If I'm wrong then well done but we have to take a educated guess with stocks based on what we know and what we know about this stock leaves us with either a good long term punt ( another year or so ) or a really risky short to medium term risk (1-6 months )
Pretty useless point, would have been impressed if you had said that a few months ago, and back it with some science why you think that would be the case. The news coming out so far has not been too bad.
