they were in a jv with a chinese co called SmartWin and they failed to forward all monies when required which subsequently lost Empire the license. Rumour has it that they wanted to out the bod at Empire and take control of the assets. $3bn is a joke but even a small settlement would be huge for Empire/TOG/TXO.
I have always thought this payout will fund drilling etc so wait i guess.

if we were to win the court case, whats the percentage txo would receive? also whats the appeal for? or is it just gov not letting them drill, or not allowing licence as they are greedy
