From Q1 Update
Today 09:28
Ahmet Dik, Chief Executive Officer of VOG, commented:

“We have significant momentum in the business following a very busy and productive quarter. Gas sales increased and record sales were achieved in March. The drilling of planned production wells La-107 and La-108 continued and the Board believes the discovery of 125m of gas sands in the Logbaba formation of La-108 is very encouraging. The Board believes that these sands will contribute additional Proven reserves and be at least as productive as well La-105.

Our asset base has been transformed over the last twelve months with the signature of an agreement to acquire an 80% working interest in the Bomono licence, whilst very encouraging results from our initial Matanda evaluation enhance the possibility of early identification of drilling targets and updated gas inventory estimates. The additional acreage at Matanda and Bomono will allow VOG to help realise its plan for major gas production to meet the large unsatisfied energy demand in Cameroon.”

rouse ,re specialists.

In fairness ,anyone investing those sums in an aimer might well use a specialist.I`m sure vog will eventually play a large part in Cameroonian industrial progress ,they may even sponsor the Indomitable Lions! but it dawned on me ,over aa long period of supporting the company that I was never going to get a multiple capital gain,or a divi from Kev`s little retirement fund.
As 3 card said re "still pathetically below the big placement price of several years ago " Another poster on here was telling me about the massive profits he has made..
Borders has put a consistently cogent case ,with figures for how this company should progress, how a normal company would progress.Unfortunately ,vog is anything but normal.GL with your investments.

I can fully understand people being nervous at this juncture. We are involved with exploration remember (Although mitigated by current knowledge of the strata etc.) but nothing is guaranteed. The drill project has slipped for various reasons and at least the company has been open and honest about why (lightning, stuck drill etc.). It is a fairly major project and personally I can forgive them a little timeline slippage if it all comes good in the end. We are at a critical time for the company and a successful drill outcome with a significant gas find will IMO move us to the next level. We are not the normal AIM company constantly passing round the 'placing' begging bowl and seem to be able to stand on our own two feet financially at least for now. So for me another few weeks wait is neither here nor there in the scheme of things, just hope they drill them safely and successfully, we hvae a lot more gas to sell into market, and we can all look forward to the SP rising accordingly. without trying to be rude I can only say another stupid remark , firstly I would not dream of telling any one how to spend their money and have no idea of what you or any one else can afford to lose , I JUST THINK NO ONE EVER WANTS TO LOSE ANY MONEY AND IF YOU ARE ONE OF THOSE THAT DONT CARE SUGGEST THE NEAREST SPECIALIST ,in future I will address the normal investors on here

didn't you tell them only to invest what they can afford to lose, takes all the stress out of the equation!

not sure what your statement meant but if you are querying nervousness it comes from two investors one with £95000 and the other with £75000 invested in this company , perhaps it is easy to not be as nervous if you are not heavily involved , I fully understand their worry and if you don't I wonder why

I would suggest that you are not au fait with the market and what drives it. News, profit, buying and selling, but ultimately driven by sentiment. One of the VOG shareholders has expressed their sentiments, and you have just returned a facile comment ti return. Perhaps a good bout of cut'n'pasting of old news will cure the sentiments
