Certainly Vog sold 718mmscf's in quarter 3 2015 only 630scuffs this last Q3, down 88mmscf However, mini gensets gas sales, which Vog hired as a show case exercise were down from 83, to 31, down 52mmscf Vog did not, as far as I know, make much money from this sector which is why they went to a ''pure gas play''
Re "however 52, of the the 83 scuffs not sold last quarter were from mini retail power". Struggling to get my head round that one on a Friday night with a few glasses of Rioja in me. Can you rephrase it?
The point being made is that suddenly it feels that our bargaining position is starting to be eroded, and maybe people are holding back, not necessarily to switch to hydro generated power, but maybe to force down the price of our gas.
Mr Brag it is sadly true gas sales have dropped, year on year however 52, of the the 83 scuffs not sold last quarter were from mini retail power which Vog would not have made much money from. Where Vog do make good money, thermal that was up, 23 scuffs
3cardbrag - you have a good memory, bud. Part of your post at 21:39 read ..... ''..... with the advent of dam hydro power, we are no longer the only kids on the block. Someone mentioned the other day that hydro is only good for the wet season, but surely these huge new dams will help circumvent this and extend the wet season by massive water storage''
I think you'll find that it was (blinkered) JimmyV that posred that
Banjo. I find it hard to see how you can take it as such a positive that even though sales have dropped, they exceed the original take or pay figure. Surely a positive would have been an increase on the previous year not a decrease. After all Foo used to (although not recently), bang on about "unconstrained demand for gas". To be treading water would be bad enough but to be doing backstroke suggests a fundamental underlying problem here, nothing whatever to do with the drill fiasco. Coupled with the complete lack of information on existing retail customers,it does kinda make you wonder if you wonder if, with the advent of dam hydro power, we are no longer the only kids on the block. Someone mentioned the other day that hydro is only good for the wet season, but surely these huge new dams will help circumvent this and extend the wet season by massive water storage. Not bailing yet but starting to get a bit twitchy.
