Hi Kev, How's it hanging? When your borrowing options begin to wane you may want to try the "Nigerian Mob" They can't be any dodgier than the "New Jersey Mob" you borrowed from - now can they? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOT3AUBe6So Hey! Kevin has a great sense of humour and he'll know that I am just having a laf! [Do not attach any seriousness to the above - Its just a weekend joke] Best Wishes
Hello 'lutonnews' - Air Force Blue didn't oblige - Better luck next time, friend. On the 2,000 Guineas ... my copy of the 'Sporting Life' said : "Galileo Gold was an easy winner of the Qipco 2000 Guineas under Frankie Dettori, as Air Force Blue proved to be an odds-on flop" ..... Painful reading?
My philosophy = 'You Win Some ... You Lose Some' A little bit like holding shares in Victoria Oil and Gas. No, hang on a bit, please strike that from the record. Victoria Oil and Gas is more like 'You Lose Some ... You Lose Some (more)'
As it is Weekend - its Competition Time (cue fanfare) > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_2QdFrcTFU If VOG were a Horse - I would name him - "--------------" [One entry per household - The Judges decision is Final] First out the hat gets a - "Lifetime Supply" of Jaffa Cakes.
'lutonnews' You mention : "Being involved in Greyhounds all your life" (of interest to you?) Back in the 70's I owned a Brindle Lurcher. I bought it from a famous man, Brian Plummer. (Well, famous within the Dog Fraternity, that is). What a beast of a running dog he was! Dam = three-quarters Greyhound and one-quarter Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Sire = three-quarters Scottish Deer Hound and one-quarter Greyhound. A dog-and-a-half he was. All the time I had him I never once heard him bark or whimper. He lived outside the whole time - no matter what the weather ... (well, he was born in the snow). I measured his track in the snow and it was 18 feet. He'd flush a bird and catch it mid flight. Brian has penned a book (ret'd school teacher) "Rouges and Running Dogs" Sorry guys - but it is weekend. Don't anyone get me Barred for this, Thanks! Good Luck with your next bets Luton - speaking of Bets - LAD Ladbrokes is worth a punt?
Hi 3card . I do need follow the round ball and support the Hatters . The round ball has been a great part f my life . Seen the cobblers on my travels many times. Played regular until my mid 40s and still play 5 a side. Used to do some coaching for Luton on there coaching schemes in the School holidays and sometimes with their Centre of Excellence. ATB
Hmm aj99 I backed air force blue at odds against that runs in todays 2000 Gs about a month ago. Go racing at least once a month , more in the Summer . Huntingdon , Yarmouth , Towcester , Newmarket etc on a very regular basis and quite often much farther a field. Been involved in Greyhounds all my life and have had some huge touches along with some heavy losses on the horses & dogs over the years. All good fun. ATB.
