Ahead of itself
Wed 18:54
Looks like a disappointment tantrum as the market got ahead of itself versus guidance and warnings re Spain impact in recent presentations, though not Investec given 1% reduction in holding, as of yesterday. 2018 looking better, Turkey recovering well so higher margins and less reliance on Spain, firmer pricing without Monarc and Air Berlin. Been taking profits over last few months but still believe there is significant upside here if they get back on track in Uk, which F was very confident about. Significant challenges have been overcome and some remain but still on track overall GLA

Looking at trades more big buying 2x 700k then selling 300k. Auto trade triggered like it used to be few years back. Future plans are better than it was two years back. it will be in blue soon IMHO.

FT snippet bookings ok
Wed 11:41
The group said its current trading was in line with management£s expectations, with total bookings up 5 per cent, supported by demand for holidays in the Canaries and holidaymakers£ renewed interest in visiting Egypt. The British foreign office has continued to advise tourists that terrorist attacks in the North African nation are £very likely£, but also says the number of incidents has reduced significantly following strong anti-extremist actions by the Egyptian government.

Thomas Cook also said that bookings and pricing for holidays this summer were running ahead of this time last year. Average selling prices in the UK were six per cent higher than 12 months ago, which the group attributed mainly to £input price inflation£.

"Kidded"
Wed 10:22
Same old story, private investors probably on mass drove up this share over the last few days on news spread around by the "money men" in the city. When will they ever learn that this share/company is a golden nugget for them? Time after time they have committed the same "lets kid them" senario, why did the top banks put out upbeat statements over the last few days?I don`t know, but can only guess,as a banking empire they may have also seen an opportunity to make some "easy" money. What these people do is not illegal, that only applies with complete falsehoods. Don`t believe what you hear regarding this share,it`s languished in the doldrums for nearly three years now, people on here in the city and press kidding people along that it can only get better.then losing money on phony advice It will no doubt get pushed up again, only for the vultures to strike again, beware of this and take any profits realised on a daily basis.Remember, preserve your health from the possibility of further heart stopping moments holding this share, the grass IS greener on the otherside of the fence

Competition and 2018
Wed 10:02
Air Berlin is gone, Monarch gone, Ryanair struggling to retain pilots so the results not that bad imo plus 2018 promises to be a better year as the company can sell longhaul holidays both to the UK and EU market. Will other competitor airlines fold in 2018?
