Yep was thinking the same thing. Share price might have been looking a bit toppy but surely not now in the light of that news. Blimey didn't clln want to takeover bby or merge with them not so long ago.

uplift from CLLN

should be interesting to see if BBY benefits from contract redistribution as result of CLLN liquidation.

In any event BBY has got to be a good example of how to manage a recovery successfully.

Im not invested here either, was just interested after reading the Mail article to do a little research of my own.
The chart says it all, daily, weekly and monthly looks to have gone through a liquidiser.
No clear direction only giveaway is MacD.

I am not in here but in Carillion, Mail article today is talking about the new hedge fund target for shorting could now move to BB, who knows if this will happen but it if does it could mean these shares could be on the way down. be careful, I am not looking to get in here but wouldn't want the same thing to happen here that's gone on in clln.

Does anyone here own the Balfour Beatty 8% 2020 dated preference shares?
My stockbroker advised me to sell back in 2014, but have proved him wrong for income purposes, maybe not price basis.
When the interest rates are raised my understand the pref stock will decline. I'm wondering how badly it will fall?

Hi Dierich
25 Feb '17
Think you made a good decision, think we will see a bit more of a drop yet, not looking peachy to buy in at this moment.
Let the 'Ole girl" dodder down thru 250's should swing up again if she touches 240's, usual pattern lol.
Ole faithful.
This board reminds me of Pink Floyds opening lyrics "Is anybody out there?"

Hi there Dierich,

Yes you are quite right there, its dead now.
So a big thanks to the plank that reported a few of us long term LSE members for using alleged code when referring to BBY as "The ole girl" and reference to taking the zimmer frame to the post office.
When we actually was having banter on just the speed the share was moving at.
So sadly its not got the crack on here anymore.
Though if any of you are still out there and want to re invest in the "ole girl" I'm up for a flutter.
Do miss trading BBY
Regards . . . last out turn the light off please

Trump factor ! Trump says he wants US to spend $$$$ trillions on infrastructure which potentially plays into US BBY in a significantly profitable way.
