Crustypete:- I have been away sailing since last Saturday, so have missed a lot of what has gone on; however I can immediately see that the RAMPERS have so far failed miserably and my holding are still in the doldrums. I also not that the (poster war) is still raging, so at least there is some stability of sorts here somewhere. My feeling are that whatever is said or done is just lost in the furore of all the claptrap being posted using the suffix (in my opinion).
1- We are lumbered with a similar situation similar to most other oil and gas companies grossly under financed and grossly undervalued.
2- We are being exploited in everyway by short termers who have no interest in AMINEX.
3: The BOD seem to be in la la land why on earth they could not have waited just a couple of week to post news of GAS payments before announcing the placing I will never understand.
4: The deal we are supposed to be doing is not so hot for long term share holders, I wait with caution as to the situation after the EGM.
5: The selling price will only rise on real news which as usual is not forthcoming again we wait for Monday morning with fingers crossed!
6: Long term holders seem to be completely f**k*d and I know that had I have put the money elsewhere I would be a lot better off still I did not; so hopefully waiting will pay handsomely in the end.
7: I still think the company has a lot of value even with the dilution, others are rising our turn will surely come?
8: With regard to the (poster wars) I do not understand why admin fail to act and can only conclude self interest perhaps the Urber posters are good customers of London South East I personally am sick of it, but I do not intend to let it stress me, I can get that just owning the shares so would council calm indifference for a day or two perhaps the gaslady cure (more vino) might help.
Still I am back to put my two pennies worth in to the BB.
MrFloyd, there was at least one lth who will have been very surprised that the sp dropped to the placing price because when I expressed how baffled I was that the sp did not go to the placing price shortly after the placing RNS ( as the sp ales does in these situations) , that longterm holder (in a rare pleasant engagement with me) explained why this case is different. I still expressed bewilderment at the sp rising and acknowledged I must be wrong. It will be interesting to see if that posters acknowledges that he, in fact, was wrong. But no big deal as you are right to say the majority of us knew the sp would fall to the placing price.
In my opinion you are absolutely correct in stating there are no surprises that there has been no RNS, and all of us (with one exception) did not expect one at all.
More importantly is your point about the sp not moving much until the vote. I suggest that Aex are looking at about a month or more until the placing is absorbed by the market. We'll see massive trades of 10,000,000 and suchlike for a long time. Some posters will try to make those trades out to be something other than the Zubair deal going through but it won't be.
In my humble opinion, Aminex is about to go through a new phase of "patience required". However, the difference between this phase and all the others is thst there may well be light at the end of the patience phase. Actual cash should be coming in and that is crucial. The chance to get rid of that crippling Argo thievery loan is finally on the cards (to hear someone refer to Argo earlier as though they are benefactors rather than a business who has done extremely well out of ripping Aminex off was truly pathetic and further highlights the sheer lack of proper research).
That we did not get an RNS re payment, or any other news, last day of the month as far as trading days and we are at Offer price, no surprises there either. Long term holders are now very familiar with this trend as this has been a common pattern with AEX for some time. Don't like to say but ......... Don't see this moving much above this price before voting is out the way. GL MrF
Crusty, as I said before I fully understand why you're doing what you're doing as I have been there myself. The difference is that the particular "duck" you're dealing with is relentless. That sounds like a compliment and it would be if describing somebody who was trying to do something altruistic. This duck is thinking of no-one other than himself.
That said, (and this goes to the point you made about wishing some of us would help), have a look at yesterday's discussion from around 3pm until you engaged last night. Without duck oxygen it realised that a bb with no chat achieved the complete opposite of what was intended. Responding is the problem no matter how difficult it is to let unadulterated nonsense go.
The huge majority of lths on the board are decent people. In the past when I made incontrovertible points (negative ones I mean) I expected at least one poster to say "fair play" or "well Kev, you were right" and when it never happened I put it down to posters here being greedy and so self-interested (money wise) that they wouldn't have the decency to admit they were wrong or that someone else they opposed were right. Human nature being what it is, some of that is true, and only for some of the posters. But the ultimate conclusion I've come to is that not all people react the same way to mis-information, ramping, agenda-driven negativity, or just plain and simple dishonesty, as other people do. Most people avoid confrontation. Others like you (and dare I say it, me) thrive on it. To be honest, I don't like confrontation but I was always end up in it!! It's part of me that I wish I wasn't like. Still, it'll never stop me from shouting "foul" when I see "fowl" (kinda pleased with that play on words).
My point is this: sometimes ducks are defeated by being ignored and not confronted. That said, do what you gotta do. Either way, you have my support for the only reason that matters - you're painfully honest.
Oh and TWIS it is surprising that it is "just not worth my time and energy" - you seem to have plenty of tiem posting endless "ramping" posts all saying the same thing.... Is it that you wilt a little in the evening?
Whatever. Just be reassured that I do - and will continue as long as you do... When your posts become more balanced so will mine.
I will let the board members decide whose opinions are the most valid.. as I said ""if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, then it's a duck" ... And I think you will be hard pressed to suggest that most long term boardd members think that you do an awful lot of quacking... :-)
Good night TWIS and dream of that long migration south....
