Bestseller continues ASOS buying

Shares in AIM-quoted online fashion retailer ASOS have risen this afternoon following the news that Danish fashion retail group Bestseller continues to build up its stake.

In less than two months the stake has increased from 9.72m shares to 13.67m share - equivalent to 18.27% of ASOS. The stake has been built up over the past year.

Bestseller is owned by the Holch Povlsen family and its brands include Vero Moda, Jack&Jones and Villa.

ASOS is due to publish a trading statement tomorrow (19 January). ASOS has been generating the majority of its growth from international expansion.
