FD sells after Invista bid talks end

Invista Real Estate Investment Management finance director Guy Eastaugh sold nearly one-third of his shares in the company the day after it announced that bid talks had ended.

Eastaugh sold 150,000 shares at 49p each, which raised £73,500. Prior to the announcement that the takeover talks had ended the shares were trading at around 57p each.

Eastaugh retains 307,257 shares in Invista Real Estate, which is equivalent to 0.12% of the company. Eastaugh was appointed finance director in May 2007. He has previously worked at GKN, Hanson and Enron Europe.

AIM-quoted Invista Real Estate is the largest quoted property fund manager. It invests in commercial and residential property in the UK, Europe and Asia Pacific. The company had £5.34bn of assets under management at the end of 2009, which was nearly £1bn lower than one year before.

Pre-exceptional profits more than halved to £11.1m in 2009, after revenues fell by one-quarter to £34.4m. Net debt is £10.3m.
