Resource round-up: Archipelago Resouces, Max Petroleum

Archipelago Resources said new tests at its Toka Tindung mine in Indonesia demonstrated the site's potential as a multi-million ounce mine deposit. "Combined with the results reported earlier in the year, these high-grade intercepts now have the potential to again materially increase our economically defined gold resource, providing a further platform for growing our production profile and increasing shareholder value," the firm said.

Oregon Gold, an exploration company focused on gold exploration and development in Eastern Europe, has reported 'solid progress' at the Deli Jovan gold project in Eastern Serbia, where a 7,500 metres diamond drilling programme began in May. So far 15 holes have been drilled at the Gindusa mine target, totalling 3,800 metres. The deepest hole drilled to date has confirmed that the shear-zone continues beyond 250 metres vertical depth - Gindusa was mined historically to just 80

Wasabi Energy has reported that its Kalina Cycle licencee, FLSmidth, has secured a contract to install its second power plant using waste heat from a major cement plant. The plant will be installed in the second quarter of 2013 at a cement plant owned by Star Cement in United Arab Emirates. Wasabi Energy will receive a one-off licence fee based on the gross power output of the Kalina Cycle plant.
