Transfer of Treasury Shares
2 May 2012

The Weir Group PLC ("the Company") announces that on 17 April 2012, 63,699
ordinary shares of 12.5p each and on 1 May 2012, 39,156 ordinary shares of
12.5p each, both held as treasury shares were transferred to participants to
satisfy awards granted in 2009 under the Group Long Term Incentive Plan.

Following the above transfer, the Company now holds 1,099,566 ordinary shares in
treasury and has 212,503,081 ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held as
treasury shares).
