TRADING EMISSIONS PLC
Result of Annual General Meeting
Trading Emissions Plc ("the Company") announces that, at its AGM held today, all proposed resolutions were passed, including those relating to the re-registration of the Company under the Isle of Man Companies Act 2006, the return of cash scheme and the appointments to the board of directors of the Company.
Christopher Agar, Martin Adams, Francis Hackett and Norman Crighton have therefore been appointed as directors to the board of the Company with effect from today's date. As announced on 10 October 2011, Neil Eckert, Malcolm Gillies, Nigel Wood and Bertrand Rassool have resigned from the Board, such resignations having become effective today. Francis Hackett has been appointed as Chairman of the Company.
Francis Hackett, Chairman of the Company, said today:
"I would like to thank Neil Eckert, the outgoing Chairman, for his co-operation with the incoming board during the transition process. We acknowledge the firm mandate we have from shareholders to proceed with the realisation of the assets of the Company and the return of cash to shareholders. We will do everything in our power to execute on that mandate having regard, however, to the challenging economic environment for carbon credits and the need to extract maximum value from the range of private equity assets held by the Company in an orderly fashion."
