The Board of Thorntons is pleased to announce that Michael Killick will join the Company with immediate effect and be appointed Finance Director and Director of the Company when Mark Robson leaves the Company on 17 February 2012.
Michael has a wealth of experience in the retail sector and customer facing businesses. Most recently, he acted as Interim Chief Financial Officer at a private equity owned healthcare business. Prior to that he spent 11 years with The Peacock Group plc, latterly as Chief Financial Officer. Before joining Peacocks, Mr Killick was Group Finance & IT Director of Bennetts GB Ltd, the retail insurance broker, and Assistant Finance Director of Going Places Leisure Travel, a subsidiary of Airtours plc. He began his career with Burton Group plc, where he became Financial Controller of the Dorothy Perkins Retail arm. He also holds a Non-Executive Directorship with Finance Wales Ltd, a Welsh Government owned venture capital investment vehicle.
There are no other matters requiring disclosure under Listing Rule 9.6.13.
