Issue of Options to a Director

Sirius Minerals Plc (AIM: SXX, OTCQX: SRUXY), the globally diversified potash development group, announces that today the Board granted 1,800,000 share options to Lord Hutton, whose appointment as a Non-Executive Director of the Company was announced on 18 January 2012.

The share options were granted under the Company's Share Option Plan with an exercise price of 30 pence per share and vest after three years and expire after ten years.
