Pace plc and TiVo Announce Global Licensing Agreement

Saltaire, UK, 22 February 2012: Pace and TiVo today announce that they have entered into a global licensing agreement to port TiVo's user interface software to Pace's set-top boxes and gateways.  The agreement will further enable operators around the world to quickly and cost-effectively deploy the TiVo consumer experience to a range of Pace devices.  

Pace intends to offer implementations for both DVR and advanced gateway set-top boxes globally, with an initial product to be made available to cable operators in the Americas.

Pace has licensed TiVo's Hardware Porting Kit and will work with TiVo to build a TiVo-verified platform. The joint solution is aimed at offering service providers simplified operational integration and increased speed to market by leveraging Pace's provisioning and device management software capabilities.
