Infosys Technologies and Mobile Streams enter into Joint Agreement
for Licensing and Distribution of Apps
London - (AIM: MOS), 10 March 2011 - Mobile Streams announced today that it has entered into partnership with Infosys Technologies, the leading technology service provider and partner for Global 2000 companies, for the reciprocal licensing and distribution of each company's applications catalogues in selected regions.
The agreement provides that Mobile Streams will distribute Infosys' portfolio of apps through its carrier distribution network in Latin America and globally through its independent app store, Appitalism.com. In return, Infosys will gain access to Mobile Streams' portfolio of apps to be distributed through Infosys' FlyppTM Applications Marketplace Platform to carrier partners throughout India.
"Given our strength and presence in the Indian market and Mobile Streams' strong track record of success in Latin America, the partnership makes perfect sense for us. We see synergies in the markets, devices and apps popular in both emerging markets," said Deepak Swamy, AVP and Head of FlyppTM. "Because our vision is to deliver the most unique and relevant user experiences through lifestyle-driven application portfolio, Mobile Streams' diverse applications are a great addition to that mix," he added.
"We are delighted to add the Infosys app catalogue to our portfolio," added Simon Buckingham, CEO of Mobile Streams. "This deal represents the first time that Mobile Streams has entered into the strategically important India market, and we could not wish for a stronger partner than Infosys. We look forward to building a long-term partnership with Infosys in the coming years and to working together to grow the global apps market."
