MILLENNIUM AND COPTHORNE HOTELS PLC (THE "COMPANY")
EMPLOYEE BENEFIT TRUST
The Company has received notification from Nautilus Trustees Limited, as trustee of the Millennium & Copthorne Hotels plc Employee Benefit Trust 2006 (the "Trustee" and the "Trust", respectively), that between 1 and 3 December the Trustee acquired in the London market 121,200 ordinary shares in the Company at an average price of £5.486 per share. The Trustee's current holding of 222,249 shares represents 0.071% of the Company's issued share capital.
Mr Wong Hong Ren, A Bushnell, AH Al Zaabi, BL Low, C Harrington and L Yip, being Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibility, are deemed to have an interest in the shares acquired by the Trustee as they are potential beneficiaries of the Trust. It is intended that the shares will be used to satisfy certain awards made under the Company's Long Term Incentive Plan.
