Eros International's Desi Boyz reports a successful opening weekend collection of US$13.25 million gross worldwide

Mumbai, 28 November 2011:Eros International Plc, the leading global company for Indian film entertainment, announces a successful opening for Rohit Dhawan's directorial debut, Desi Boyz. Since 25 November, the film has grossed worldwide box office receipts of US$13.25 million. The film, which is a co-production between Eros International and NextGen Films, has been released across more than 2,000 screens worldwide.

Speaking about the film's excellent opening, Nandu Ahuja, Sr. VP, Distribution, Eros International Media Ltd said:

In Desi Boyz, director Rohit Dhawan reunites the comedy pairing of Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar and John Abraham. The film also stars Deepika Padukone, Chitrangada Singh with Anupam Kher, Omi Vaidya and Mohnish Bahl in supporting roles and a cameo from Sanjay Dutt. The film's soundtrack by Pritam Chakraborty has gained huge popularity with some Indian chart topping songs.
