BRITISH SKY BROADCASTING GROUP PLC - SHARE BUYBACK
British Sky Broadcasting Group plc (the "Company") confirms that further to yesterday's announcement, and in accordance with the authority granted by shareholders at the Company's Annual General Meeting on 29 November 2011 and pursuant to the agreement between the Company and News UK Nominees Limited (and others) dated 28 July 2011, that it has completed the purchase of 591,609 of its ordinary shares of £0.50 pence each ("shares") from News UK Nominees Limited for cancellation. The price paid by the Company was 657.5315 pence per share.
Following the completion of the above transaction the Company will have 1,675,966,491 votable shares in issue. This number represents the total voting rights in the Company and may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they can determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Financial Services Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
