BRITISH SKY BROADCASTING GROUP PLC - SHARE BUYBACK

British Sky Broadcasting Group plc (the "Company") announces that in accordance with the authority granted by shareholders at the Company's Annual General Meeting on 29 November 2011, on 03 May 2012 it purchased 400,000 of its ordinary shares of £0.50 pence each ("shares") for cancellation.

The volume weighted average price paid by the Company was 706.8392 pence per share.

In accordance with the agreement between the Company and News UK Nominees Limited (and others) dated 28 July 2011 (the "Buyback Agreement"), and shareholder authority granted on 29 November 2011, the Company will today purchase 257,221 shares at 706.8392 pence per share from News UK Nominees Limited for cancellation.

Further to yesterday's announcement, the Company confirms that it has in accordance with the Buyback Agreement completed the purchase of 385,832 shares at 704.0313 pence per share from News UK Nominees Limited for cancellation.

Following the completion of the above transactions the Company will have 1,695,552,911 votable shares in issue. This number represents the total voting rights in the Company and may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they can determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Financial Services Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
