REPURCHASE OF ORDINARY SHARES

Betfair Group plc (the "Company") announces that in accordance with the authority granted by shareholders at the Company's Annual General Meeting on 22^nd September 2011 it purchased 25,000 of its Ordinary shares of 0.1 pence each ("shares") on 27^th April 2012 for cancellation.

The average price paid per share was 804.52 pence per share.

The highest price paid per share was 808.50 pence per share.

The lowest price paid per share was 801.00 pence per share.

To date 6,508,009 shares have been repurchased under this authority.

Following the above transaction the Company has 102,325,976 shares in issue. This number represents the total voting rights in the Company and may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they can determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Financial Services Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
