Pre-Close Trading Update
Alliance Pharma plc (AIM: APH), the speciality pharmaceutical company, announces a pre-close trading update ahead of the announcement of its interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2011.
Recent trading has been in line with management's expectations. Sales for the six months ended 30 June 2011 were approximately £24.4m, £1.0m ahead of the first half of 2010. As previously reported, sales of DeltacortrilTM / enteric coated prednisolone have been impacted by greater competition, but the promoted portfolios of Dermatology and Oncology continue to grow well, in particular HydromolTM, which has grown 26% compared with the first half of 2010.
Following the acquisition of AnbesolTM and Ashton & ParsonsTM in April 2011 we are pleased with the demand shown for these products in the first two months of ownership.
The Company's interim results are due to be announced on 7 September 2011.
