Share Allotment & Director Shareholdings

Today the Company allotted 14,098 new ordinary shares of 20p each ('New Ordinary Shares') to various employees under the Animalcare Group Savings Related Share Option (SAYE) scheme.  The options were exercised at a price of 44 pence per share.

1,709 of these New Ordinary Shares were allotted to the Chief Financial Officer Peter Warner.  As a result of this transaction Mr Warner has a beneficial interest in 6,709 shares representing 0.033% of the enlarged issued share capital of the Company.

2,563 of these New Ordinary Shares were allotted to the Director of Marketing Iain Menneer.  As a result of this transaction Dr Menneer has a beneficial interest in 9,381 shares representing 0.046% of the enlarged issued share capital of the Company.

Application has been made to the London Stock Exchange for the New Ordinary Shares, which will rank pari passu with existing Ordinary Shares, to be admitted to trading on AIM as soon as is practicable.  

In conformity with the Disclosure and Transparency Rules we would like to notify the market that following the above allotment: 

The Company's issued share capital consists of 20,420,704 ordinary shares with a nominal value of 20p each ('Ordinary Shares'). The Company does not hold any Ordinary Shares in Treasury.

The figure of 20,420,704 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
