Assura, the primary healthcare property group, announces the appointment of a Non Executive Director, Jenefer Greenwood, with immediate effect.

Jenefer Greenwood is currently Director of Sales and Lettings for Grosvenor Britain and Ireland. She was also appointed to the Board of The Crown Estate in 2004, and chairs its Remuneration Committee.  Jenefer is a Chartered Surveyor, and started her career at Hillier Parker. She has worked for Grosvenor since 2003, having also been Chair of the National Skills Academy for Retail and President of the British Council of Shopping Centres.

Jenefer will join the Nomination, Remuneration and Audit Committees. She will take the Chair of the Remuneration Committee later this month, at which point Clare Hollingsworth will step down from the board.

Simon Laffin, Non-executive Chairman of Assura, commented:

"I am delighted that Assura has managed to attract another director of the calibre of Jenefer Greenwood to join the Board. She brings 34 years of working in real estate, which will further strengthen the Board's property expertise. Together with the recent appointments of Graham Roberts as Chief Executive and David Richardson to head the Audit Committee, this means that the entire board will have changed over the last nine months. I am confident that the new board will provide powerful and focussed leadership for Assura for the future."

As required by Listing Rule 9.6.13, there are no current or past directorships in other publicly quoted companies to be declared.

There is no other information required to be disclosed pursuant to Listing Rule 6.13R in respect of Jenefer Greenwood.
