SVG Capital plc ("SVG" or the "Company")
Purchase of Own Shares

 

SVG announces that on 16 July 2012 the Company purchased 125,000 ordinary shares at a price of 290.98 pence per share (with the highest price being 292.5 pence and the lowest being 290.2 pence per share) representing approximately 0.04 per cent of the Company's current issued ordinary share capital.  These 125,000 ordinary shares are to be held in treasury.

For the purposes of the Financial Services Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, the total number of ordinary shares in issue as at the date of this notice (excluding 11,328,729 Ordinary Shares held in treasury) is 278,703,961.

The figure of 278,703,961 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they can determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in the Company, under the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.

Following the purchase, the cumulative number of shares purchased during the period from 23 September 2011 to date is 31,703,962 ordinary shares.
