Market Purchase of Company's Own Shares

Notification was given that pursuant to the authority granted at the Annual General Meeting of the Company held on 24 July 2012 to make market purchases of the Company's own Sigma shares of 12.5p, a market purchase of 50,000 Sigma shares of 12.5p each in the capital of the Company was made on 27 July 2012 at an average price of 67 pence per share.

Following these purchases and cancellations there will be 256,225,000 Ordinary shares of 25p each and 124,172,000 Sigma shares of 12.5p each in issue.

The capital of the Company with full voting rights is now 380,397,000. This figure may be used as the denominator for calculations of interests in the Company's voting rights.

Shareholders are reminded that on a poll vote, the total number of votes cast is calculated according to the NAV per Ordinary share and the NAV per Sigma share.
