Transaction in Own Shares - Amendment

20 July 2012

Following the transactions in own shares announcement released by Ashmore Global Opportunities Limited (the "Company") on 16 July 2012, RNS - 7882H, the Company announces that the incorrect number of shares were stated. The total number of shares purchased were as follows:

· 10,000 ordinary shares of no par value in the capital of the Company designated as Sterling Shares ("Sterling shares") at a price of GBP5.38 per Sterling share.

· 5,000 ordinary shares of no par value in the capital of the Company designated as US Dollar Shares ("US Dollar shares") at a price of USD5.3968 per US Dollar share.

These shares are held as treasury shares.

The total number of treasury shares and shares in issue were therefore as follows:

Total number of treasury shares held by the Company following the purchase and non cancellation as described above	Number of shares in issue less shares held in treasury following the purchase as described above
2,051,505 US Dollar Shares	23,930,306 US Dollar Shares
773,082 Sterling Shares	23,492,812 Sterling Shares

The total number of voting rights in the Company (rounded down to the whole number) was therefore 71,592,523.
