SVG Capital plc ("SVG" or the "Company")
Purchase of Own Shares

 

SVG announces that on 9 January 2013 the Company purchased 50,000 ordinary shares at an average price of 301.1844 pence per share (with the highest being 301.5 and the lowest price being 300 pence per share) representing approximately 0.02 per cent of the Company's current issued ordinary share capital.  These 50,000 ordinary shares are to be held in treasury.

For the purposes of the Financial Services Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, the total number of ordinary shares in issue as at the date of this notice (excluding 17,161,035 Ordinary Shares held in treasury) is 272,871,655.

The figure of 272,871,655 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they can determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in the Company, under the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.

Following the purchase, the cumulative number of shares purchased during the period from 23 September 2011 to date is 37,692,962 ordinary shares.
