Guys, look at it this way... when the SP was sitting just over £6 and we were all uber confident (wondering what car/yacht/house to buy and how to limit CGT), we were looking for £10 a share to start with... 65% upside from that price. £10 is an easily justifiable and conservative target based on success from EB1 alone, even Tom Bulford RHPS had a target price of £10. Mining Resources Quarterly magazine (when the SP was above £6) said the upside potential was huge, even at this stage in our lifecycle.
So...
At a SP of £6, 65% upside (from EB1)
At a SP of £1.10... 800% upside (from EB1)
We have lots of oil, hit what every exploration company dreams of. A minimum oil column of 150ft may not meet some investors expectations but in reality is a truly amazing result, with a pay zone thickness on par with Rockhopper's Sealion discovery. Remember, this 150ft of oil (from this anomaly) could cover an area of 36 km2 (google Agency Lake in Oregon).
Before the 1100ft "potential" net pay figure was mentioned my maximum expectation was 300ft and that was from IPDS research papers (and USOP presentations) I've read that stated the max IPDS reading of 0.96 corresponds to net pay of 300ft. We also know that EB1 wasn't drilled on the location with the highest IPDS reading but on the location where all 18 datasets correlated most strongly.
The investment proposition in my opinion is more compelling than ever.
All the best,
Zedd

Morning mate. Notice Brian sounds much more confident when the discussion moves on to talk about the pay zones...

No problem pal. Luckily it's still there as most of my other posts have disappeared this evening. Even talking about Vegas is off limits :(

"Unique proposition
US Oil& Gas is almost unique among growing oil exploration companies in that it is fully funded to drill at least two wells and owns 100% of any discovery. What is more unusual for a company its size and at this drill-ready stage is it still has only 41.7 million shares in issue. The shares have soared from 5.5p at the time of January 2010’s listing to 620p at the time of writing and the company has drawn up plans to issue American Depository Receipts (ADRs) in the USA to broaden its investor base.
Even at this stage of its life cycle, US Oil offers shareholders the prospect of ENORMOUS FINANCIAL UPSIDE should the company confirm a commercial strike, set against the very high risks associated with any resources explorer."

Is the most read announcement of the day on Investegate... Despite coming out after the market closed! ;)

Welcome. This is a very exciting time for all usop holders and this evenings RNS will never be forgotten. It marks the turning point for 100's of battered, downtrodden and tired shareholders. We will go forth full of optimism and reap the benefits of our major oil discovery in Nevada.
28 Nov '12

Agreed, too long mate.
28 Nov '12

I'm doing well thanks mate. Good to hear from you :)
28 Nov '12

There is a god! :)
28 Nov '12

Better than my 4000 top ups at 510p avg lol
28 Nov '12

Look over the excellent series of posts from 2bob last night on drilling results and methods to get wells flowing in Nevada. That to me shows why Brian is very confident in flowing our well.
27 Nov '12

Chilled wellbore by circulating mud during drilling also explains why the paraffin wax issue will be localised to the perforated regions and not the entire reservoir formation.
27 Nov '12

Need to read more into it but this paragraph is very interesting:
"High pour-point oils present a different kind of problem. The pour-point is that temperature below which an oil congeals; above the pour-point, oil viscosity decreases with increasing temperature. If wellbore temperature drops toward the pour-point of reservoir oil, then the well may become unproducible because congealed oil will not flow into the wellbore. Conventional drilling practices tend to chill the wellbore with circulating mud. Lost circulation can compound the problem by chilling a larger volume of the reservoir. Formation treatments such as chemical stimulation or hydraulic fracturing may also chill the reservoir if the fluids are not heated. At Kate Spring field one Paleozoic carbonate well was unproductive after conventional perforation and acidizing, but was completed flowing oil after treatment with hot water."
So... Hot water and/or oil treatment deals with both pour point issues and paraffin wax problems! Very interesting to know. Going to read more :)
27 Nov '12

Top posts mate! Important point to note: hot water treatments mentioned several times... and we know hot water is used to deal with paraffin wax issues. Nice to see more details regarding methods used to get the oil out in Railroad Valley.

Good thanks mate. No more courses for now. Just need to make some money :)
Was away rafting at the weekend, great fun but still recovering lol
27 Nov '12

Hi mate. I'm doing good thanks. Keeping myself busy lately while we wait.

We are finally starting to rise as predicted from a massively oversold position. We are in a bullish ascending triangle chart pattern. Stochastic turned positive, MACD cross imminent (indicates a bull market on the horizon). MACD cross is one of the best trend predictors.
Minor resistance around £2, with next level at £3. Reasonable flow rates (200bopd+) should see us back above £5 and form support going forward. Greater than that, skies the limit.
We also have a CPR update due at any time. Who knows what the excitement of an update indicating 100mmbls of recoverable light and medium crude oil would do to the share price!
P.S. share trading is risky and you may get back less than your original investment but in USOP's case... You also have the opportunity to make a life changing return.
All the best :)
