Redirons
See the email below received from DOG, I understood that that DOG had to tie the knot within 10m of the sale and then a 30day period of grace ensued to allow the purchaser to transfer funds etc.
When the last leesee (August 2017) map was issued I queried why not updated with latest Bex/AEA leases and received reply below.
"Should? It should after September 1, but I don’t know when we are going to have our cartographer update the map again.
The first batch of leases west of the TAPS and Dalton Highway aren’t effective until September 1 so the customer name didn’t show up in the cartographer database. The notification lessee is Burgundy Xploration for all leases held by Burgundy alone or Burgundy with Accumulate as joint bidders for all NSA 2016W tracts, according to the bid forms.
We haven’t awarded the second batch east of the Dalton Highway because of Harvey."

The Harvey referred to is the Hurricane.

At the moment I can see many of the new leases that have not been processed are at status 80 closed. so I am unclear as to whether we are taking the leases or not.

TMT I agree I would prefer posters to check facts were available before posting, but I would also be grateful for some facts from you as to who you were when you made those two calls about placings that you claimed the other day, otherwise its just meaningless guff as well :-))

Whip I have used the analogy that we are forensically working through every carriage on a train until we reach the goods wagon where the goodies are, no short cuts, no diversions and even though we ultimately ran out of time the knowledge gained will be for the greater good of the project, but what do I know.

Blingy
The acreage position remains the same as at last announcement .

op acres
AEA 260924
Bex 85751
Total 346676

No changes in status on leases in limbo.

Newhipster no one here knows why we did not employ swabbing earlier, there may be very valid reasons, why not email Dave Wall and ask the reason.
I doubt there is anything sinister and was content to wait until the well analysis was released via an ANN.
Sun 10:50

Newhipster although I am unsure of your motives for being here, I agree with you better to be in the driving seat than a junior partner beholding to the whims and financial situation of others.
88E is currently the Operator omn majority of leases and I would prefer that to getting involved with a weak partner, there may be no choice so choice of partner(if any) critical.
Sure Otto Energy must wonder at their involvement with Great Bear, two year on and not a spade in the ground let alone a well drilled.
But we are not there yet and do not know what the future holds.
Sun 10:39

Zeb.
ESP pump, how would anyone here know? Company has mentioned swabbing and nitrogen, that is all to best of my knowledge..
In reality how many on any of the 88E boards actually have any real knowledge of the oil industry, even fewer have practical drilling experience and even fewer if any have been on the North Slope.
As a result although there are plenty of posters I respect and quite a few of those I have met I take no notice of predictions of billions of barrels of oil, flow rates and future SPs, because no one knows for sure what ever side of fence they are on.
Sun 10:12

Zeb check my back posts and you will see that I had posted that winter was coming with appropriate links on a few occasions and I think LeMajor had also queried whether the tests would/could continue as winter set in.
Pre Icewine#2V ,there was much discussion reference timing of the drill and one reason was the summer heat would preclude the need for heating equipment.
I did not expect such an early cessation though!
Without access to all facts I am unwilling the place blame on the company and did timing of ANN matter at all in the big scheme of things, the result would have been the same.
I am prepared to be patient, going rainbow chasing in-researched is not my bag.
