EXCLUSIVE: Leo Koot outlines his buy and build/organic growth strategy for Columbus

Leo Koot, Executive Chairman of Columbus Energy Resources #CERP outlines his buy and build strategy which is to be funded initially by organic growth.

Columbus is an oil explorer and producer in Trinidad.

Its been over a year since he took charge and already he has

1. Inherited Goudron and 50% of Icacos fields

2. Taken over the running of Icacos

3. Restructured the Bolt deal and made it profitable

4. Bought Steeldrum and its producing fields and oil rigs for $5.6M in shares on 14th July 2018.

He thinks Trinidad is ripe for consolidation and believes economies of scale can be delivered by one larger stronger entity.

As these fields are integrated into one viable team, Leo is also searching for a larger M&A deal, and by the end of the year hopes to be delivering over 1,000 barrels per day.
