Weekend Upgrades

Dear members, since the Stock Exchange upgraded their software, we have been suffering occasional glitches with our data centre. As such, we a performing a major systems upgrade at the weekend. Unavoidably, there may be some down-time on the site, but we will endeavour to keep these to a minimum.

Thank you all for your patience while we resolve these issues.

Hi Admin, will this fix the live prices feed, the live data slows down then stops. Today it was at it's worse. I am of course just making an assumption that the problem is your end and not mine. :-)

Hi Boredmum - problem is definitely our end. Should be ok from tomorrow though, all fingers crossed. Tech team doing a late-nighter with some emergency upgrades. As I understand it, the Stock Ex in their Feb update basically equipped the exchange to process trades quicker; so data comes through a lot faster. This has been pushing 'spikes' in the live data - so 20,000 items per second will rush through, and our current systems weren't equipped to handle it. Hopefully update will be painless, but I guess there might be a couple of glitches hanging around tomorrow.
