Reading back through the posts, has someone opened a short on the 13th which must close tomorrow? If so the 1.06% figure is what they stand to make? I'm new to share dealing, and have a limited knowledge of this situation. if we were a group with group strategy , could we break the short or put pressure on it by buying say 30 million shares between us forcing them to buy shares to offset a shorting loss, thus raising the price higher?

Actually remember when it was happened when i was a kid and watching the news back then, thought it was just crazy the way how there was a lack of controls! Yea its seriously crazy the house prices (500 sq ft condominum c. GBP 400k) and thats outskirts of the main area.....oh for cars too, a BMW 5series brand new c. GBP 120k! The taxation on this is pretty crazy. I'm still waiting to top up here, funds tied up but hoping ECR will make me a few k before selling up and adding more here...

Hi and sorry to hear about July 1st. I don't know about you but I really miss the English football season - like a lost dog in that respect. I guess you feel the same. At least you can look forward to C A F C thrashing all and sundry when the season begins ?? For me, the usual torture with TUFC awaits - top scorer gone ! Right back and centre half gone ! Never mind - keep the faith they say.
Have a look at clubwebsite.co.uk/koratfc. My local team. In the Cup quarter finals and thrusting for promotion to the Thai premier. Match reports by a certain TUFC supporter LOL. I started watching them 3 years ago when they were in the regional league - crowds of 2000. Now we get the 5th highest crowd in Thailand, about 8000 average and when we walloped the Thai Premier Champs in the last round of the Cup, 15,000. Crowds are not so big here although Th. is football crazy - everyone stays home to watch the EPL.
Anyway, ATB.
Looking for another blue day tomorrow.

Still, we went from 7 June until yesterday, 18th June, without one other single post on here. Amazing, but as you point out and the daily volume confirms, the shareholder base or interest is almost nil in the share now. That's what we were trying to see. Interest levels are very low at the moment. Things can ony improve and should do when news comes out.

It will be then, as I experience that rare feeling of overwhelming freedom while all else is crumbling around me, that I know I will have finally arrived as a human being............................at Oxfam, for more cheap clothes because Beowulf has made me skint. Lol.

I'm sure your an honest and sincere person but haifwit you now know why Lanny got his back up with me and I'm having a go at other people on this bb, why who am I having ago at. please for a moment listen to my side.
The Lanny argument was triggered because I thought the RNS concerning Siciny and Czaslaw was poor and was beginning to pan out like so many other things over the last 3yrs. I also thought Lanny was less enthusiastic of late and I wondered why in a post he only mentioned 2 other conventional small plays and nothing about the 2 main plays that we'd been led to believe were Co: maker's even if only one was successful. When I put all this to him, he lost his rag and accused me of trying to discredit him, he has refused to accept my explanation that I was not trying to discredit him, why would I when I've always said his tech: savvy is invaluable. my concern was more about the results or what imo was lack of result. Since then he has continued to blast my name and assassinate my character all over this bb. It's he that's fell off his rocking horse not me. For the sake of every one I told him to call it a day but even then he sent a further post full of derogatory remarks. My only reply has been once again to say call it a day. However I wont be reaching for the ignore button but try to understand this, when you've just read a post blasting you to bit's, then people crawl out of the woodwork with (recommended post) and great post Lanny is that not having a go, how would you feel...Yes you are right I have lost with SLE (who hasn't) but I blame myself and the Co: not other investors that would be silly, In fact I don't even consider it to be lost...It's not lost till it's lost if you get what I mean. The last thing I would like to say is that this bb is a democratic bb (or should be) where all can air their view's and ask others for their views, too much use of the ignore button might enable a group to keep others quiet while leaving the way clear for only their opinions to be heard. That would not be desirable would it, no I think the ignore button should only be used in the most severe cases of unprovoked personal attacks.atb frus.

[Caldecott] Legitimate concerns (KLG)

All investors are co-owners in this company. It's not a family business.

The absence of a genuinely independent director on the KLG board, the cost of care & maintenance at Jelai, excessive fees to the CEO for his part time role in a passive holding company, opaque statements about the status of the CoW are all legitimate shareholder concerns.

Voicing concerns has a positive effect if remedial action is taken, as was the case with adjusting the composition of the KLG board to reduce the risk of exposure to Australian tax on the potential future increase in value of the Indokal shares held by KLG.

Management's failure to respond to and address the legitimate concerns of investors might erode confidence in the stock. In that respect the ball is with the KLG board. However, most investors presumably take the view that FMM's ongoing presence on the ground overshadows concerns about corporate governance and commercial decisions in the Bermuda company.

well, a short squeeze is a rare event so no one should be expecting it, but the longs will be hoping. I for one would like to see one live on a stock i own. The 14mil vol and 4p rise you mention as a counterexample is not really relevant to the idea of a short squeeze - there is no linear, static relationship between volume and price action - if there was I would own all the money in the world.

I do think this will be taken over (within 6 months), i hope it is left to get to production, and it may (or may not) undergo a squeeze at some point. but this isnt ramping.

http://www.sfo.gov.uk/fraud/what-is-fraud/corporate-fraud/share-ramping.aspx

On a more general note, and definitely not related to you pustule or the comment im replying to, I genuinely dont understand why longs tend to, on a public forum, talk the companies that they own down when the share performance is poor. It seems so counterintuitive, and, if these boards made any difference, self-defeating.

And if you can't be bothered to research it, short it anyway. The city does. Follow the money, ya know.

Nor do I really, but it does change the subject some days and it is a bit of a laugh, nothing wrong in a bit of bragging to liven things up if you have had a good day.

I knew a guy many years ago who worked in London he said he dealt a lot in futures and commodities, he was a professional.
He made large sums of money, and he had is bad days. On his way home he would call in the local pub on a Friday night and you could tell if he had had a bad day, as he would shout f—k it, loud and clear and throw his brief case across the table to release his tension, then knock back a stiff drink then off home.

[Applelover] CVV vs GRPH (GRPH)

I'm a Graphene bug and got into CVD equipment corp (CVV) on the US market. CVV is an established company and has actually made a profit, has just moved into larger premises and has large customers. However in this market they are also struggling to maintain their share price as investors worry about the transition into a larger company.

The market cap of CVV is currently £32.13 million compared to the £78 million here. I've only had a quick look here but this company seems vastly over valued. Is this a case of a ridiculous premium being a paid for the first Graphene play on the UK market?

I would love to get involved in a UK Graphene company however can anyone tell me why this company is worth more than £10-£20 million?
