alright mate, what have you spent your VERO money on? I had a few trades on CNT, just about up overall, now gone into GNG which I suggest you take a look at, similar to VERO in terms of consistent profitability growth, they also have strong cash position, debt-free, any many other things going for them! I trust you will DYOR, let me know if you do have a look at them, I posted some research on the BB. ATB mate

hmmm, just above breakeven for me, that 1500 I bought last week didn't really help! :) lol it seems the BoD have chosen to realise the value of their shareholdings, as opposed to holding out for a significant premium on the current SP to reward the long-term PI's and other shareholders. Never mind, onwards and upwards!!!

Steamer - you got any cheap stocks you are looking at? I'm currently researching MCR, IHP, INVO, INDY, all have very low market cap and potential for re-rating, also watching SEE, IGE, PIM, BPC, SOLO, and many others.

Recently bought ADH at a bargain (IMO) price of 0.38p, also worth a look if you time! ATB mate

£0.6m pre-tax profit, overall tax credit of £132,000

Post tax profit after exceptionals was £0.74m

Cash balances at the year end were £2.3m (2008: £1.6m), with £1.5m of short-term borrowings (2008: £1.5m), resulting in net funds of £0.87m (2008: £0.09m)

Net debt reduced to £2.2m from £2.9m.

The Company completed a refinancing of its UK loans in December 2009 with an advance of £2m from the Capital for Enterprise Fund. These funds were used to repay the Group's outstanding balances with Fortis Bank and restore working capital levels to pre-recession levels.

Product development expenditure of £1,303,000 (2008: £1,008,000)

Market cap £5.78m

Statistics are not bad, going on post-tax profit of £0.74m, P/E ratio of 10 = market cap of £7.4m, or 19.86p per share.

If the spread was smaller I would probably buy 1000, would need 20p for breakeven though! Suprised it hasn't had more attention today but I still expect it to come onto more radar's this week and next IMO.
Yesterday only one 15,000 buy, and 27,000 of sells on plus, so either MM's have buy orders lined up or they are just being very tight in anticipation of buying volume picking up, either way bodes well for us holders. You already secured your desired holding, or looking to top-up? ATB

"On 16th September 2009, the Company announced that it was in talks which may or may not lead to an offer for the Company. Discussions with more than one party subsequently followed and the Company is pleased to report that negotiations are now at an advanced stage and it expects to be able to make an announcement within the next two weeks. There can however be no certainty that an offer will be made nor as to the terms on which any offer might be made"

Alright mate, you still holding on here? I personally think VERO could be the dark horse of my pf, haven't really payed it much attention since doing the initial research and buying in, and although a takeover would be nice to hopefully make a quick buck, I will definately look to increase my holding on any SP weakness should the takeover talks not amount to anything.
As far as I know we would have to be informed if the takeover talks finished, and the last we heard was on the 4th December when they told us:

Preliminary Approach Update

Following the announcement by the Company on 16 September 2009 that it had received a provisional approach from a financial institution that may or may not lead to an offer being made for the Company, the Company has continued to pursue discussions. The Company remains in an Offer Period.

Any thoughts on the recent 100k trades, looks like the 2 most recent could actually have been buys..........maybe??? Due to us being in an offer period, it would only take 4 100k trades (1%) to be buys from the same person, and we would have to have a holdings disclosure.
Obviously they could be sells, in which case the MMs were still willing to pay well above the bid.

Did you get a letter/pack last week? Mentions they need a £2m loan and possible dilution :o

thanks for that mate, seems like a positive development to me, £2m will allow them to pay off their debt to Fortis Bank and have access to increased working capital, with only a possible 3million shares so dilution would be minimal. Also the remaining cash should help to strengthen VERO's position in negotiating a possible offer, so as long as shareholders approve it, this is good news. We will see :)

Hard to believe how much money I have lost this week in Vero. I know I brought at 12p, but couldn't sell until I received my certificate (which I got today). £14,500 profit gone in 10 days :(

Fingers crossed for the offer.
