Great prospect with there past issues on short term finance resolved & building a solid base for growth.

They have some very large assets and a strong strategy to maximise shareholder value through operational progress. Im keeping a long term hold here & very comfortable with the prospects for major growth.

Commenting on the announcement, David Wilkes, CEO of Roxi Petroleum, said:

"We are very encouraged by the increased prospect inventory arising from the 3D seismic acquisition, and the third party independent verification of these prospect sizes by Gaffney Cline reconfirms our core belief that BNG is an attractive exploration block. The Company now has a clearly focussed strategy to evaluate and explore the exciting potential of this block, a strategy which we are already pursuing with optimism. I look forward to updating the market during this next period of operational activity."

These reservoirs are potentially high pressure, and therefore have high well costs. The shallower, Permian carbonates are analogous to Bekbolat and Tolkyn field reservoirs which lie within the south of the block. These reservoirs, at around 4,000m are likely to be only mildly over-pressured with no salt overburden, and well costs are expected to be lower.

As a result of the recent cancellation of the deal with Canamens as announced in May 2011, Roxi now own a 58.41% net interest and operational control of the BNG Contract. The Company is actively continuing its evaluation of the exploration potential, by maturing the existing prospects and identifying further potential. De-risking work will continue to prepare drillable locations by second half of 2012. In the interim period, BNG will focus operations on finalising the permitting and project work for Pilot Production from South Yelemes, expected to commence in 4(th) quarter 2011.

A tabulation of resources by play type is given at the end of this announcement and a description of the BNG evaluation is provided in the latest investor presentation which can be downloaded from Roxi's website www.roxipetroleum.com .

[guru121] REMINDER

RNS Number : 1419J

Roxi Petroleum Plc

27 June 2011

Immediate Release 27 June 2011

Roxi Petroleum plc

("Roxi Petroleum" or the "Company")

BNG Operational Update

Roxi Petroleum (AIM: RXP), the Central Asian oil and gas company with a focus on Kazakhstan, is pleased to announce the results of an independent Estimation of Resources by Gaffney Cline and Associates (GCA) of the Company's preliminary interpretation of approximately 1,400 square kilometres of high quality 3D seismic data. The data was previously acquired in the BNG Contract Area in Western Kazakhstan in 2009 and 2010.

The Company has thus far identified 30 prospects and a further 7 leads within the BNG Contract Area. The prospects range in size from 3 to over 80 million barrels of oil (mmbo), with a total aggregate gross resource potential of over 500 mmbo of "Best Estimate Prospective Resources". The geological Chance of Success, or Risk, assigned by GCA to the majority of these prospects range from around 20% to over 80% in one or two cases. The less well defined "leads" vary from 6 to over 130 mmbo in size, have an aggregate potential of a further 400 mmbo, and Chance of Success assigned by GCA of less than 15%.

In addition to these prospective resources, a further 13 mmbo estimated for the South Yelemes field are classified by GCA as Contingent Resources (2C, or Best Estimate case). The Yelemes field development is contingent on further testing of the Neocomian dolomite reservoir, extension of the Sub-Surface User Contract ("SSUC") and subsequent extension of Pilot Production consents. We have exercised our right to extend the SSUC, which we expect to be issued by the authorities shortly. This will allow these Contingent Resources to be up-graded to Reserves.

The total Risked Most Likely Prospective and Contingent Resources on the BNG block are estimated to be 215 mmbo.

The prospects identified include analogues to surrounding fields such as Nsanov, Bekbolat, and Tolkyn. Additionally new exploration plays have been developed on the southern side of the Devonian Guryev Arch, and the South Emba Sub-basin. The Company's strategy is to first drill the highest value prospects in the portfolio, due to begin in 2012. Based on initial internal technical analysis, the Company believes the Palaeozoic (deeper) prospects will create the most shareholder value.

15 of the prospects and leads occur in the Mesozoic section down to approximately 3,000 metres depth. These are generally subtle four-way dip closures with a large stratigraphic component, or purely stratigraphic prospects based on imaging of individual reservoir facies.

A further 22 of the prospects and leads occur between the depths of 3,900m and 5,000 metres. These are carbonate prospects, with reservoir potential from the Devonian through to the Lower Permian, the deepest of which produce in the neighbouring giant Tengiz field. These

I was AFR at around 15p (currently 124p) and sold for a small profit. This is obviously a different company but Im looking to build up a larger holding in RXP before the near term news for a similar multiple rise over the coming weeks & months.

From the 22nd nov RNS

The preliminary interpretation of wireline logging indicates that the well encountered oil bearing reservoir sands in the Upper Jurassic section at a depth of 1,294 metres Measured Depth.

David wilkes the CEO said in that RNS
"I am delighted that the results of drilling NK-9 have confirmed our understanding of the oil in place on NW Konys and look forward to the final results of the logging and putting this well onto test after completing the drilling of well NK-10."

NK10 was spudded on 28th Nov and the update on the 22nd Dec said

The preliminary interpretation of wireline logging indicates that the well encountered oil bearing upper Jurassic sands at a depth of 1288 metres Measured Depth ("MD").

David Wilkes, CEO commented,
"We are encouraged by the initial results of drilling wells NK 9 and NK 10. Further announcements will be made once we have completed the testing of these wells early in the New Year."

We had the spudding of BNG well 136 on the 19th dec with TD expected to be reached by the end of Jan so expect an RNS for that as well as new on NK-9 & NK-10.

We also have the BNG farm out agreement due any time & previous short term funding issues resolved.

This is shaping up very well with strong newsflow due, very positive initial indications, large assets and a major re-rating expected. Definately one for the PF imho.

Good luck

[Kiwi7777] takeover deal

I am not surprised with this breakout at all. It has been long due.

I believe that Roxi is working out a takeover deal with Koreans (including LG and KNOC) and/or Kazmunaigaz (National Oil Company of Kazakhstan). Korean connection is obvious from long time ago. Kazmunaigaz is slightly different story. It owns all of acreage surrouning Roxi's assets. There, Kazmunaigaz operate few older oil fields right next to Roxi's existing discoveries and potential exploration prospects on BNG. Those old fields, which are long past their peak production, have all the necessary infrastructure in place, inclduing processing facility, water treatment/injection facilities, and pipelines. So, they need to have more production to keep those facilities utilized and to keep replacing company's declining production and reserves base. Given that Roxi already has some discovered oil and enormous exploration potential (identified in Gaffney Cline report), such a takeover by Kazmunaigas makes a lot of strategic sense. Kazmunaigas will not have to spend whole lot of capex because they have most of the stuff in place already. So, we have lots of synergies and cost savings for them. It means that Kazmunaigas will be able to pay much higher premium price due to those benefits. Also, Kazmunaigas has a serious social problem with their local workers. Most of the oil fields in that area of Kazakhstan are being shut down because they got depleted. It leaves hundreds of workers without jobs and any income because most of small towns in that area have been specifically built to operate those old oil fields. Kazmunaigas cannot just get rid of those workers, we saw last month that it can lead to riots and all kinds of problem. So, they have all the incentives to keep production and exploration operations going in that oil province.

so, I truly believe that Kazmunaigas has all reasons to acquire Roxi Petroleum and pay great premium for control. Given recent exploration success of Roxi and increased risk appetite in global markets, we should see a takeover within a few months. Given enormous exploration upside of Roxi's assets, I think that we should be looking at something north of 20p.

Now, BMD and all other pump&dumpers can use this research and try to earn quick bucks on it. But, serious investors who understand business will profit for being patient. Don't sell your shares cheap!
